More Than Beauty

“Beauty May Be Dangerous, But Intelligence is LETHAL.”

 

Meet Lubna. When she arrived for the shoot, bare-faced and all, I was taken back by her beauty. She arrived all smiles and ready to begin the glam process.

While in glam we talked with our lovely makeup artist Jessica about makeup (obviously), music, concerts, and boys. You know, girl talk.

What came up that left both mine and Jessica’s jaw on the ground was what Lubna was studying at Columbia University. She said, as cool as a cucumber, ‘My major is Neuroscience & Behavior, and I’ll likely go to medical school to specialize in Epilepsy or Neuropsychology but I’m keeping my options open.’ ….. There was about 5 seconds of silence while me and Jessica processed what she said so casually. Then the OMG!s and You go Girl!s began.

Beauty with the brains to match. So much #GirlPower in one 20-year-old from Southern California!

Lubna said doing this shoot was important to her. She knows she has so much studying and exams and labs ahead of her in quest to becoming an ultimate #GirlBoss. She said she doesn’t want her 20’s to pass her by with only photos of her in a library to look back on.
